This is a group that addresses the issue of access and safety on campus-owned property, specifically for people who identify as transgender, genderqueer, and disabled. Too often, our community is shut out by physical, social, and educational environments that are treated as “neutral”. We strive to institute change and incite a discourse that is more inclusive of our campus community. SASS was founded in 2009 and was inspired by the work of PISSAR, People in Search of Safe and Accessible Restrooms. To stay up to date follow the Facebook page here.
