I have heard both Pioneer MS and SHS will be over 800+ and 1,000+ students, respectively, by 2010. What are the current enrollments for Pioneer and SHS and what are the projections?
Pioneer’s official March 2005 enrollment was 532 and SHS’s March 2005 enrollment was 649. SHS also has over 50 students enrolled in the Running Start program which slightly mitigates the actual number of HS students in the school. Enrollment projections provided in the Facilities Committee report, which are considered valid for planning purposes, indicate MS students peak in the low 700’s by 2017 and HS students peak in the low 800’s by 2017. However, since Quadrant Corp is now using 4 developers to construct homes in Northwest Landing, we anticipate the student population to peak several years earlier than initially projected.
