If you fit into this category, you may be a Hepatitis B non-seroconverter. However, you must provide your Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) results to PGME to rule out the possibility that you might be a Hepatitis B carrier. In addition, you must provide complete details of your Hepatitis B vaccination series and titre results (anti-HBs) done after each series. If you are a Hepatitis B non-seroconverter, you will be sent our Hepatitis B non-converter package informing you of procedures if you are exposed to a Hepatitis B carrier’s blood/body fluids. Please contact the PGME Immunization Officer at 416-946-3753 or postgrad.med@utoronto.ca if you need further information or have specific concerns.
