You must use Windows Media Player 11 to transfer them to your Archos. First connect your Archos to your computer with the USB cable (If you have set your device to Hard Drive mode, you need to change it back to ‘Windows Media Device’ mode in Menu > Settings > System > USB Preferences). Start Windows Media Player 11 and click on the tab ‘Sync’. Your Archos device will appear in the right Window. Select the movie file(s) to transfer to your ARCHOS and drag it into the right window. Now click on the ‘Start Synchronization’ button on the bottom of the right window. Your movie will now be transferred, with its license, to your ARCHOS. You can now disconnect it from the PC and find it in the video browser on your Archos device.
