I have been served with paperwork from the Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department. What do I do?
CSSD may have filed an action against you on behalf of the custodial parent, in order establish a paternal relationship to obtain or modify a child support order. You may wish to seek the advice of counsel to advise you of your rights and represent you at the hearing. If you do not show up at the hearing, then the Court will make orders in your absence.
