I have been playing the violin for some years now but would really like to learn about playing traditional Scottish and Irish fiddle music. Would playing in the orchestra help me in this respect?

A. Playing traditional fiddle music is not difficult. A lot of the sound you hear when you listen to traditional fiddle playing is produced by bowing technique and quite a few interesting left hand tricks. Our members are a very friendly bunch and are more than happy to help out with any questions you may have.
