When the account is originally set up, a primary owner is established for tax purposes. Interest, if any, is reported under this primary tax ID number. The first person added to the joint account is identified as the primary owner. Although any signer on a joint account has the same privileges and access to available funds, the primary owner drives the eStatement functionality. It is possible for you to be the primary owner on some accounts and secondary on others. This is why you may be able to enroll some accounts but not all.
