I have an older version of Sandvox. Can I upgrade it?
Yes! Upgrading from any older version to the current version of Sandvox is absolutely free. (We may, however, eventually charge a modest upgrade fee when Sandvox reaches version 2.0.) If you have any site documents that were created with Sandvox versions before version 1.5, please note that Sandvox will need to upgrade your document, since the internal data storage format has changed.
Yes, and we especially encourage upgrades to take advantage of the powerful new and improved features of Sandvox 2. To get Sandvox 2 for a special upgrade price, go to our web store and check “I am upgrading from another Sandvox license”, paste your registration key, and click “Apply”. If you have any site documents created with version 1.6.8 or earlier, Sandvox 2 will need to upgrade your document to its new format. Note that Sandvox 2 uses a document extension of .sandvox, not .svxSite. Any upgraded documents will be given the new .sandvox extension, leaving your original .svxSite document in place.
