I have an existing WebCT course, when can I start using Blackboard?
Migration surgeries for existing semester 1 courses will be available for staff. Faculty eLearning support staff will work with academics and course owners to advise on the best method of moving to Blackboard. Each Faculty has a plan (For specific arrangements in the Faculty of Humanities, please see http://www.manchester.ac.uk/humanities/ict/tandl/elearning/blackboard.html) to manage the successful migration of all live courses. It is anticipated that all online courses will be migrated to Blackboard by the beginning of Semester 1 in September 2008. Courses starting in September 2008 will be given priority over those starting February 2009. Existing Semester 2 courses will be delivered in February 2008 using WebCT CE 4.1 if they are not already part of the Blackboard phase II exemplars.
