Migration surgeries for existing semester 1 courses will be available for staff. Faculty eLearning support staff will work with academics and course owners to advise on the best method of moving to Blackboard. Each Faculty has a plan (For specific arrangements in the Faculty of Humanities, please see http://www.manchester.ac.uk/humanities/ict/tandl/elearning/blackboard.html) to manage the successful migration of all live courses. It is anticipated that all online courses will be migrated to Blackboard by the beginning of Semester 1 in September 2008. Courses starting in September 2008 will be given priority over those starting February 2009. Existing Semester 2 courses will be delivered in February 2008 using WebCT CE 4.1 if they are not already part of the Blackboard phase II exemplars. It is also expected that the development of course materials for academic year 2008/9 in WebCT CE 4.1 will cease from January 2008, with some exceptions granted on a case-by-case basis.
