Once you have been approved to start (or join) your first project, you will be able to log into DETERlab’s user machine, users.isi.deterlab.net. We require that all DETERlab users use ssh. For example, if your DETERlab account name is “joe”, then you would do: ssh users.isi.deterlab.net -l joe Your password is the same as the password you supplied to the Start (or Join) Project web page. • Do I need any special directories in my PATH variable? There are several useful (although not required) programs installed on users.isi.deterlab.net in /usr/testbed/bin. You should edit your dot files to include that directory in your search path. • Can I be in more than one project? Yes. You may join (and/or start) as many projects as you like, subject to DETERlab administrative policies. • Can I change my DETERlab password? Yes. You can change your DETERlab Web password and your DETERlab login password (the password you use to log into users.isi.deterlab.net, as well as nodes in your experiments).
