I have an 8-year old rottweiler with a lumpy mass on his hind quarter and on the chest area. Is this a type of bone cancer?
Bone cancer rarely forms as a “lumpy mass”, unless the bone is broken and tumors have begun to form off the break. But I think you would know if the bone was broken. With not a lot of information I (me personally) would not even be able (or would want) to diagnose. It could be anything from a fatty tumor which is relatively harmless to a form of cancer. But, with growing technology, cancer can be fought just like in humans to prolong their life. Expensive, but it all depends on the owner. I have an owner that spends at least $5,000 yearly to keep her 21 year old cat alive. Good luck. Let me know how it turns out.
