I have a wireless air card that seems to prevent AcornPipe form finding my Sentinel Key Device. How can I work around this?
A. You could network one device only, but If you want to make sure that the people in your area are using the correct sentinel device, then you should edit the file found in the C:\Program Files\AcornPipe directory named servername.txt. The top line in this file should be blank. Enter the IP address of the computer which has the sentinel device attached into the servername.txt file on each terminal. PDF Files/Adding your IP Address to the servername file.pdf It is named Adding your IP Address to the servername file.PDF A2. This is also a good solution where you are using a wireless air card or a wireless network to ensure that your program finds the key on your computer. Enter your computer’s IP address in the file, to prevent the program from searching the entire internet looking for a key device. Another option, start AcornPipe before you insert the air card.
