I have a 4-cylinder 2003 Ranger, so I do not know if the fuel lines are the same. If you have orange or green plastic clips on the fuel lines at the filter, you simple “squeeze” the curved portion of the clip as you pull the fuel line away from the filter. You can gently use a pair of common pliers to squeeze the clips if your fingers aren’t up to the task. These are the only fuel-line locks on Ford products that do not require special tools.
