A – To move voluminous exhibits and trial equipment into courtrooms through the loading dock, counsel should make arrangements for courtroom access with the respective judge’s Courtroom Deputy Clerk 2-3 weeks in advance of trial/hearings. Counsel should then call The Space & Facilities Help Desk at 213-894-1400, with the following information: date and time of delivery, name of driver (and assistants, if any), description of vehicle, brief description of exhibits/equipment and counsel’s telephone and fax numbers. A letter of authorization (and parking permit, if necessary) will then be issued to counsel, which should be presented to the Court Security Officer upon arrival at the loading dock. Parking permits are available only for the Spring Street Courthouse and the Roybal Federal Building. For trials at the Eastern Division, contact the Courtroom Deputy Clerk for the judge with whom the case is assigned. Arrangements for parking and use of the loading dock will be made with the U.S.
