Reply:Any of our Class I receiver hitches listed for the 2004 Matrix can be used with a bike rack. The tongue weight capacity of these hitches’ are 200 lbs; the weight of the rack and bikes combined cannot exceed 200 lbs. If you vehicle does not have the extra rear fascia you can also choose the custom Class II hitch by Curt, part #12227. This will provide you more options when looking at bike racks and an extra 500 lbs capacity in tongue weight. You can also view our complete selection of Class I bike racks.
