I have a student who has transferred to another district. Can I change the exit status to 08 – Transferred Within District?
A22: CEPI has already searched the SRSD to confirm whether a student was in fact reported in another district, regardless of whether you reported the student as an 08 transfer (e.g., if you reported the student as a dropout, we still look for his/her record). If the record was found, you were credited for the transfer. If the record was not found, it will appear as a Missing Expected Record. Changing exit status to 08 will not move it out of this category, as the confirmation search has already been completed by CEPI.
