I have a Squirrel in my attic, what is the best way to get rid of it?

Answer Hello Steve. Well, the squirrel does not live in the attic all hours of the day. It is most likely attracted by the warmth and possible crowding of your attic, making ideal nesting conditions. There is some point where the squirrel is going in and out of the attic; a hole, a crack in the wall, loose roofing, etc. You need to install a flap over the outside of the hole(s). The flap should be larger than the hole, and work so that if the squirrel comes out of the attic, it can push the flap open, but it cannot go back in to the attic because it is externally blocked by the flap. If you’re not understanding my meaning (and these things are hard to explain in written words ha ha) feel free to tell me. This should keep the squirrels out, but all the same, I’d have an inspector or someone of that field to examine the house and check for any other holes. Hope this helped, Edward.
