I have a SAN in my infrastructure. Can I use it along with my Unitrends DPU?

YES. Although Unitrends does not support peer-level connection directly to the SAN, you can backup SAN data through any client that is connected. This also allows any Direct Attached Storage (such as a boot drive in the client) to be protected as well.
