Shooting in full auto mode can be enough on some cameras, but if you camera has features on it, try the following things. 1. Put the camera in “aperture priority” mode or any setting that uses a large f stop number. F8 and above is ideal. 2. Try useing the anti shake feature. 3. Try to avoid long exposure times if not using a tripod. This can be acheived by increasing the ISO value. 4. For focusing manual mode is best, or setting your area focus to the right hand side of the picture, on the mirror. Some cameras can focus just using auto mode.
