Your 2 connectors coming from the pool/liner are made to fit hoses with a 1 1/4inch diam opening which matches your P1 or P2 pump pump. However, your P4 pump comes with hoses with a diameter of 1 1/2inch which makes it inch too large. To make it fit you have 2 options: • a. Reduce the hose from the P4 pump to fit Make a vertical cut at one end of the hose to be connected to the pool, then buy a 1 3/4inch metal clamp and secure it. • b. Enlarge the connector on the pool/liner You can wrap electrical tape or any other plastic tape around the pool connector to make it 1/4inch larger. You will still need to buy a 1 inch metal clamp to secure it. In both cases you can no longer use the original plastic screw in connectors. These will be replaced with the adjustable metal clamps.
