No, the new CITGO CITGARD C700, CITGARD 700 Plus, and SynDurance are designed to be backwards compatible. Meaning, if your older units call for API CH-4, CI-4 or CI-Plus then the only crankcase oil you would need to stock are one of CITGO’s CJ-4 approved oils.
