I have a Megatouch game and would like to back up the hard drive in case of failure. Can I do this?
(A) There is no way to back up the Titanium hard drive. Should the hard drive fail in the future, it will need to be replaced. (Q) I have an EVO and when you turn it on, it stops at 18h. Any help would be great. (A) Stopping at 18h may indicate a defective hard drive. I have seen this before – chances are, the rest of the message ends with “disc boot failure.” (Q) I recently had the hard drive fail on this game. I used a Quantum 6.4 G and reloaded V 10 software with the 3059 key. The unit kept saying Invalid Key. I tried different jumper settings and resets and finally loaded the V 11 software update. Now the unit boots but with Ruby 2 running. This is fine for the customer but I told him if he bought an original hard drive the game would be a FORCE 2003. Do you have to use original Merit hard drives and what hardware determines whether the unit thinks it is a Ruby or FORCE other than the key? Please clarify what games need original hard drives.
