You need to take a different look at your mineral and vitamin supplements. They are not “pills.” They are concentrated food. Just as you take food in at your meal time one bite at a time, you need to take in your supplements. Therefore, instead of trying to swallow a fist full of supplements at one time, try popping a capsule or two into your mouth just as you are getting ready to swallow a mouthful of food. Use your food that your are swallowing as the vehicle to carry in the supplements, then you will not feel bloated from washing all the supplements down with a large amount of water. If you need a little fluid to help, along with the food, to allow the supplement to go down, you can certainly sip a small amount of liquid. It can also be helpful, to drink through a straw while attempting to swallow tablets or capsules, because of the way your mouth shapes itself while drinking from a straw.
