Sounds like it is an old style tap where you have to turn anticlock wise to open – more you turn faster the water flow. If so, you will see a little grub screw on the side of the top handle – the one you grab to turn on/off. Undo this grub screw with a small screw driver and lift the handle off (you may have to tap it underneath – upwards/outwards). Now you remove the dome through which the tap spindle comes through. You should use a plumber’s pliers. Put some cardboard around the dome before you grab it to turn anticlock wise to undo, so that you do not scratch the chrome tap body. This should open up the works. If the mixer tap is a bit more modern with plastic handle on it then price open the centre cap, where the letter ‘H’ or ‘C’ is marked, with a small screw driver. This should reveal a screw. With a No. 2 phillips screw driver undo the screw & remove the handle to get to the brass tap body. Remove this from the fixing similarly as explained above from the fixed tap body & you sh
