LANce-3000 is a truly distributed system, and understands that nodes may be in different parts of the world. All timers run at the time local to the node being controlled. If you have porch lights at each location that turn on at sunrise, each light will be controlled at the correct time. In Lambda, when you request the time, you must tell the language which node you are requesting the time for — so the correct time is returned for that node.
