I have a CCW license that I received in October 2001 and it will expire in October 2004. Am I required to attend an 8-hour pistol safety training course prior to renewal of the license?

The law states that applicants must certify that they have completed at least 3 hours review of the pistol safety training and have had at least one hour of firing range time in the 6 months preceding the application. The law does not specify how applicants “certify” such training, however. Contact your local gun board for guidance.
