Again, it could be many things but the most effective approach is to start by bringing it in for a tune-up. Do tell us of the concern with rough running at the time and we can focus on items that could cause the fault. I have an up arrow on the dash that will not go out. It is quite common for the overdrive relay to fail in older Volvos and you will be driving in only the lower 3 gears. Please feel free to any questions and I will answer them if possible.
