I would probably seek to find a male, only because you already have two females and I assume THEY have reached a comfort zone in their relationship with each other. I would assuredly Neuter him to prevent him from breeding and also to protect him from developing Cancer of the Testis. In addition, I would get the other female spayed. This cuts way back on the chance that she will ever get Breast cancer or cancer of the reproductive system at all! As mentioned the main point is the individual temperaments of EACH DOG. I’ve had as many as three in groups of 2 females and 1 male, and 2 males and 1 female. In both cases the Alpha was the Alpha. Once it was the Male, once the Female. Although my Alpha male when coming to live with an already established Alpha female…sort of ran things as “co-consorts” lol excepting for attempting to breed her (he was neutered, she was not..also not MY dog and my partner learned a hard lesson because her aged and beloved dog had to be put down after develop

I don’t think it matters. We have had three and four dogs at a time, big ones too. We were the happiest with only 2 females but did okay adding one male. When we added another female it became quite difficult. THey were all unspayed and at certain times turned into a wild west show. But all the bitches did come into heat at the exact same time so that was handy. Youwill be happier if they are all fixed. But no matter waht youneed to be sure you are the packleader and stay that way. It is very easy to become weak in a dog’s eyes and they will fight and take over. It won’t be pretty if that happens. I don’t know what breed you are talking about but we had newfoundlands and it gets really crowded with 3-4 dogs. LOL!!!
