I had read about the District’s plans to build a new science facility. Why should taxpayers support this type of expenditure in the current economy?

The District had considered construction of a new science facility at Wilmette Junior High with private funds. Due to the economic conditions, this plan did not move forward. Funds from the current referendum will not be allocated to building facilities or other capital projects. The funds raised will be used to continue the District’s strong educational program.
