You educate yourself about the industry it is in and about the company. If that is too hard, educate yourself if some other industry you like and then sell Motorola and buy what you understand. Owning a business you don’t understand is just pure gambling, as anyone who owned GM stock could tell you. You can’t take daddy’s word for it unless daddy is going to reimburse you if he’s wrong.
