You may get this message if you ask to open a file (usually a picture) with your native Linux program and Picasa can’t figure out what program to use. Again, because there’s no standard way to do this on Linux, Picasa just does its best to figure it out; if it can’t, it will present you with this dialog box. Q: Hey! I have a bunch of movie files that Picasa skipped. Picasa for Linux does not support movie files. The program will not attempt to find or play movies. (Note: under Options > File Types, the Movies checkbox is visible but not functional.) Q: I used File / Add Folder, but it didn’t work.
