This is usually caused by another program “hooking” into the game in a similar fashion to Xfire In- Game messaging. Examples include: older versions of FRAPS, Ati Tray Tools OSD, mouse utility applications, basically any other program that can draw on screen while you are playing a game. To fix it, you can either disable the other application or Xfire In-Game messaging. If you are unsure which application is causing the conflict with Xfire you can also submit a debug log for us to take a look at. Instructions can be found in the FAQ here: http://www.xfire.
