I get an unreliable game link connection when connecting a GB Pocket or Classic to a GBC. What might cause this ?
When a DMG (GB Pocket or Classic) and CGB are linked together, and an AC Adaptor is used, line noise may occur. This noise can cause communication problems with the SCK (link clock), which could bit-shift received data. This seems to occur mainly when the DMG is the Master mode (using its internal clock.) This problem doesn’t seem to occur when the GBC is the master. There are two ways to solve this. You can forcibly make the GBC the master, or you can create better error checking routines to correct this problem. Nintendo recommends using the latter option.
