I get a cache error when I upload from GeneSpring Workgroup?
This is due to a lack of write permissions to the cdir0 folder under …./GeneSpring/data/cache Check that the permissions are set as follows: Under …/cache: -rw-rw-rw- cacheNameMap (sudo chmod 666 /home/db/SiliconGenetics/GeneSpring/data/cache/cacheNameMap) drwxrwxrwx cdir0 (sudo chmod 777 /home/db/SiliconGenetics/GeneSpring/data/cache/cdir0) • I get an ‘internal error’ when I open an Experiment? You may also get an error saying that a normalisation cannot be carried out. See previous answer for solution Problems like this should not arise if you have upgraded to version 7.3 of GeneSpring on Bio-Linux.
