If you are using PHP 5.0.3 or earlier PHP 5 versions, this is probably because of a bug. Therefore, these PHP 5 versions are not supported by G2. Either change to PHP 4.1+ or to PHP 5.0.4+. This bug should occur in advanced search, in the publishxp module and in other places of G2.
