I firmly believe that the Internet should be a free place, and not just another territory to be conquered by corporate America, what can be done to stop Fox and others?
Please, Please, Please Visit the EFF and peacefire, to find out about other threats to Freedom on line, these causes are just as important as ours is. This is especially important if you are under 18. Your access to information is being threatened. Visit the Buffy Bringers and Operation Blackout to see what else you can do to combat this campaign by Fox. Keep on top of other threats to freedom on-line. For example a court ruling in the late 70’s restricted free speech over airways (radio and TV). This is why “freedom of the press” now applies only to printed materials. There is a lot of support building to treat the Internet like radio and television. This means that the speech on-line would be less protected, and swearing, sexual content, etc. could be limited “for the sake of the children” So basically, what you are saying is that Fox is right… I’m confused.
