The readme file is “readme.txt”, readable before installation from the distribution diskette (if you received NYC that way) or after unzipping the archive (if you downloaded NYC from somewhere). It is a text file that you can read with Notepad, PFE, TextPad, or any other text editor. If you open it with WordPad, do not allow conversion to a non-textual format.
