I don want to spam my friends with this application – can I still do something to prevent my pokmon getting stolen?
Not directly, but it’s easy enough to get pokmon back – it’s really nothing one has to despair over. The mechanism behind Team Rocket stealing (or rather, not stealing) pokmon is much like in Battle of Bands, except with a level of indirection less: any friends you have using the application are automatically ‘in your team’, and the more of those you have, the less likely a steal is.
