No, the Digital TV program comes complete with the 2 required codecs, which it installs to your Windows directory. This also means that if you want to install for example WinDVD 5, you may do so without interfering with the DTV playback, since these are stored in the Program Files directory. It should be noted however, that WinDVD and PowerDVD can co-exist on the same computer without serious problems.
