I don want my data collected and then transmitted outside my network. In Elixars hosted model, how secure are the data transmissions to and from Elixars server?
AirTraf 2.0 does not collect or retransmit any of the data on your wireless network, so it does not put your data in jeopardy. The Elixar SkyBox remote processing unit captures the security and node identification information from every packet and then processes only that information. At appropriate times, the SkyBox automatically transmits that information back to the Elixar server using a SSL dual-certificate handshake, actively negotiated tunnel system that meets or exceeds the security of a conventional VPN. This tunnel transmission does not suffer from the security risks of SNMP, which generally sends information ‘in the clear,’ is easily ‘spoofed’ and is a known source of network congestion. Using this protocol over a wireless network not only exposes the data itself, but could also expose your wired network’s SNMP implementation to attack. In addition, our web interface is run over HTTPS, which uses SSL, so you can be ensured complete security when monitoring your data using Air
