I dont understand what the Bible mean in revalations chapter 13. can you answer a few of following questions?
You’d do better to use the King James Bible. The Beast is either the devil or a false Christ/Antichrist. There will be a false prophet who teaches people to serve the Beast, if I recall correctly. The Dragon is a symbol for Satan. It was John who saw the beast rise from the sea. He was given a prophetic vision showing many things he could not understand, so they were given to him symbolically. Now we are the ones who don’t understand them.
The Revelation of St. John the Divine was written by St. John of Patmos, not the same John the Apostle. Totally different guys. The original title was “The Apocalypse of John”, but “Apocalypse” DOES NOT mean “end of the world”. It means “unveiling” – John was revealing hidden spiritual knowledge, or gnosis, in his allegory. The book should be interpreted allegorically. It is NOT prophecy – prophecy CREATES the future, it does not PREDICT it. The work describes an allegorical dream describing the progression of the spirit from existence through base matter and suffering, to the liberation of spiritual awareness.
