You can alter zMail to use a simple and clean interface by selecting Settings > General > Accessibility and selecting ‘Use the blind and low vision experience’. You then need to log out, and wait a moment, before logging in again. You can also reverse the above steps. Another alternative is to use a desktop based mail client.
