I don like seeing my personal messages in the Chatterbox nodelet. How can I display only the chatter?
Look at the Chatterbox Nodelet section in your User Settings, under the Display heading. There’s an option to “Hide private messages in the chatterbox nodelet” – check it and submit, and you’re golden. Instead of your messages being shown, you’ll see “you have # messages” displayed above your topmost nodelet, where ‘#’ is the number of messages waiting. When you notice this number rise, you’ll know you have new messages in your Message Inbox.
