You will still be able to play video, DVDs and music without a supported capture card, but you need to tell ShowShifter to disable the video capture. To do this, run ShowShifter from the “ShowShifter in safemode” option (Start->Programs->ShowShifter->ShowShifter in safe mode). On the “Setup Step 1 – Set Capture Settings” page, select the ‘Disable Video Capture’ option from the top list, then click the next button (with a right arrow on it).
