First, please check that all leads are properly plugged in your TV or other video source equipment. There are some rules on connecting the miniVCR to a TV, DVD player, or satellite box as follows: 1. To record with the miniVCR from the TV, please plug the composite cables to the TV out Yellow/White/Red sockets, or to a SCART socket via an optional adapter this solution should allow you recording any active TV source such as DVD player, satellite, etc.. 2. To record TV programs from your satellite box, you need to plug the composite cables (Yellow/White/Red) to the TV out of the satellite box.
