No. High school events and high school championships are not included. Due to the variation in divisions at high school state golf tournaments (i.e. 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, etc., private schools, public schools) and the lack of results reporting for high school tournaments in all 50 states, the AJGA has decided not to include tournaments at the high school level at this time. I came in sixth at the XYZ tournament and only the top five earned Tournament Exemptions. The player who came in fifth was 19. Because he is not eligible to play in AJGA events, does that mean I now earn the Tournament Exemption? No. Due to the difficulty of determining ages of juniors and establishing a black and white guideline, the Tournament Exemption will not be moved to the next place. This is the risk juniors assume when playing in an event that allows 19-year-olds to compete.
