I do not want to give the database password to people who are simply viewing reports with cView. How do I avoid giving it out, without losing functionality?

You will not have to give out the database password. The database password is stored inside cView and can be locked away from the user. If the user clicks refresh, cVIew uses this saved password when it connects to the database. The user does not need to enter a database password to view the report. If you are using our schedulers with cView, the schedule administrator simply puts the password into the cViewMANAGER or cViewSERVER schedule and this is not seen by anyone else.
