I did not see BreachGuard blocking the clear-text transmission of credit card numbers over Instant Messaging (IM)?
If you transmitted credit card number using instant messenging software you may see the credit card number appear in the conversation area of the chat window after you opted to block the transmission. Do not panic, as BreachGuard will drop the network packet containing the credit card number before it reaches the recipient. Try the exercise below: Please review the requirements below before running this exercise. • You will require two computers. • Make sure BreachGuard is running • You will need test credit card numbers. Just type “test credit card numbers” in your favourite search engine and you will find websites providing test credit card numbers for testing purposes. • Ask your family member or your friend to chat with you using instant messaging software . Once everything is setup ,send the test credit card number to the recipient.
