You will be required to renew your licence annually with the Institute. The Institute has established a licensing period commencing November 1st in each year and ending on October 31st of the following year. In order to be eligible for an automatic renewal of your public accounting licence, you must meet the following basic requirements: 1. Within the five-year period immediately prior to the renewal date, you have obtained 2500 eligible hours in a recognized capacity with a public accounting practice: – at least 1250 eligible hours in “public accounting services ” (assurance and/or compilations in respect of which it can reasonably be expected that the services will be relied upon or used by a third party); and – up to 1250 eligible hours in other “designated services” as defined in Bylaw 902. 2.
