I currently have a long distance block (Customer Choice Protection) with my SBC local telephone company. Can I still sign up?
You were smart to protect your account from unauthorized switches. However, you won’t be able to order long distance service from SBC online. A service representative can remove this block from your account and then add SBC Long Distance service. This representative can then replace the block if you request that it be added.
